President Museveni last night addressed the nation on the Civid-19 related issues after his last address on the 30th July 2021.

In his address, Museveni ordered that no bars should be open up to further notice as there is no way to control the spread of Civid-19 in bars.

He said that bars will remain closed till a minimum of 4.8 million people are vaccinated in the country and he is expecting the end of December.

He also added that there is no soberness in the bars that makes it difficult for someone to follow the SOPs.

Museveni on the other hand opened other activities which among others where public gatherings with a maximum number of people not exceeding 200 people.

Places of worships were also open with a maximum number of congregants not exceeding 200, social distancing, wearing of facemasks, and sanitizing made mandatory. He added that no congregation must be beyond curfew hours.

On the issue of schools, Museveni opened post secondary institutions of learning and operation is expected 1st November while secondary, primary and nursery schools are expected to open January 2022.
