Denis Omedi set to leave Kitara FC
Kitara FC forward Denis Omedi is expected to leave the club in the forthcoming January transfer window.
Omedi’s current employment contract at Kitara will expire at the end of this season and has offers from Spain, Egypt’s Pyramids FC and Kenya’s Gor Mahia.
He also got offers from South Africa and Libya since the previous transfer window.
The forward missed Kitara’s goalless draw with Vipers SC over the weekend at Kitende.
Omedi is yet to score in the Uganda Premier league this season but had an impressive 2025 AFCON Qualification with the Uganda Cranes scoring two goals.
Last season, Omedi managed to score 14 league goals for Kitara FC also helping them to the 2024 Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph.
He joined Kitara FC in July last year from Booma FC where he had finished as the FUFA Big League top scorer during the 2022/23 season.
Omedi was recently nominated both CAF and FIFA for the goal of the year accolade with his Rabona goal against KCCA FC in the FUFA Super 8 earning both nominations.
