Following elections held on Thursday 6th July 2023, Uganda People Congress party’s candidate Dr. Eunice Apio Otuke emerged as a winner.
Apio won with 15718 votes while engola Samuel okello of (NRM) managed to scoope 15161 votes, Daniel Okello of NUP got 403 votes and Newton Freddie OKello of FDC scooped 714 votes, Total votes 31996.
Apio contested for Oyam North Constituency Member of parliament in 2021 but lost to the late Okello Charles Engola Macodwogo (father to Samuel Engola Okello).
