According to the latest results coming from the ministry of health, Lango Sub – region has recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections just in the few weeks after President Museveni opened up public places like Arcades, Markets, Churches, gaming centers among others.
Minister of health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has confirmed all the treatment centers in Lango are already full including the two tents that has been installed at Akii Bua Stadium, Lira.
She also noted that the Oxygen is on the high demand and so far over 200 oxygen cylinders have been delivered in the treatment centers in the region.
Aceng however advised Lango to follow the SOPs to reduce the spread of the virus and also people should consider vaccination as its the only way that will help reduce the number of infections.
Lira City Resident City Commissioner, Mr. Egole Lawrence however said lango might be locked down very soon if people fails to follow the instructions from the task force.
